So this morning, i turned on my 64-bit windows 7 to find that all of my desktop folders/files were not present on the desktop, yet if i went into C:\Users\'user'\Desktop, all of my files were there. When i saved a photo or other file to the desktop,
I could not find it if i tried to open it in Word or Photoshop. I also noticed that all of my programs reset themselves (Including iTunes :| ) which is a real pain. I also have an empty downloads file and recent places. Any idea what could have caused this?
its very annoying as i normally store stuff in desktop folders and then back the up to a hard drive. The only thing that i think could have caused it was it freezing the night before while logging off. if that is the case, is there anything i can do to fix
the desktop to rest of computer issue :)
