No shared folders through win 10 client. Using whs v1 RRS feed

    I have no access to the shared folders from a win 10 client.  It does backup ok and I can open up the console, but I get an empty folder when I browse to the shared folders.  The shared folders still work fine on other clients.  I am using windows home server 1.  Thanks for your time.

    Hi,

    I can access the shared folders on my WHS v1 with Windows 10. Do you login with a local ID matching the WHS user ID or with a Microsoft account?

    Browsing however may be flaky, since it depends from often changed name resolution mechanics. Works Win+R and enter \\servername\sharename? If it asks for account credentials try servername\accountname and the password stored on the WHS for that account.

    If you cant find the share at all, you may need to enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP in the TCP/IP v4 properties of the network adapter under Advanced on the WINS tab.
