I recently was updating my system via Windows Update and it was in the process of downloading the current WGA tool. Unfortunately during the downloading process the system lost power during the download but some of the pieces were put into place that are now keeping me from finishing the installation processs. When I run Update I get the notice that WGA is ready to install and when I continue the process it fails. It appears that the download was partial and WGA cannot be installed. This is also keeping me from downloading other Windows XP Pro updates. What steps can I do to either redownload the new WGA version and properly get it installed or manually download it and then signal WU that its installed and to not need to continue the installation process?
