Thought the Windows Validation issue was fixed but it's not...

I installed the KB3024777 - it seemed to stop the box requesting validation but now it's back.
This is the latest log:

There's no obvious problems in your report..
What AV are you using?
Please disable real-time scanning/protection and reboot
If the notification has disappeared, re-enable real-time scanning and reboot again
If the notification is still present, first check whether the real-time scanning is still switched off. If so, then re-enable it and post the result. If it's turned itself back on then tell me or try again using a different disable option.

Thanks for your reply. The AV is Microsoft Security Essentials. I've disabled real-time protection, rebooted & no request to validate box appeared. I could also successfully check for updates (I'm assuming this would be impossible if validity were being questioned but don't know that for certain?). I turned on real-time protection again, rebooted and so far no validation box either plus I can successfully check for updates. So I guess it's an intermittent problem? I'll monitor it. If you have any other advice I'd appreciate it otherwise, I guess I have to sit tight and see what happens? Thanks.Sunday, December 14, 2014 1:18 PM
