Converting the receipt and sent date time to UTC instead of local time RRS feed

  • Question

  • At the moment the Sent and Received fields on an email activity ("actualstart" and "actualend") are recorded as the local time on the server.

Are there any changes that I can make on the front end of the interface so that these two fields can be converted to UTC time?

  • sl - are you wanting the date time fields in CRM to be displayed in UTC time? (all fields) - if so you can set your local preferences at the client to 'UTC' in the timezone selector.

  • You might double check that, I believe that the fields are stored as UTC - and then returned as localtime when you query them in the filtered views - (based on your user settings.)

The filtered view should display the value from the base table as createdonutc and the adjusted value as createdon.  -

the unfiltered view only show the non-adjusted value as createdon (directly from the base table.)
