Using Homer Server PC resources RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Would be interested in Home Server with the intention of using 'thin' PC clients on the home network to access a 'fat' home server PC and running all applications - MS Office etc - directly on the Home Server PC - e.g via RDP. And of course storing all data directly on Home Server PC.

Is this supported by the Home Server software?
Would you say that this use of Home Server is supported - or a 'recommended' way to use the Home Server software?

    Best regards

    No.

No.  If you want to go that route, you would want a "full server" OS, not WHS.  WHS is designed to be easy to use for non-technical users (which obviously does not include Terminal Servers, Licensing, CALs, etc.).
