Vista Business joined to a Domain at work... connect to WHS? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am in the process of installing WHS...   just curious if you can have a domain-joined Vista Business laptop part of a WHS network?  My other PCs are workgroup only.

  • My work laptop (running Vista Ultimate) is joined to a AD domain here, and I have installed the WHS Client software on it, and connected it to my WHS network at home.

I log into my laptop using my normal domain credentials (cached), and I had to create a user in WHS to match the same as my domain user account.

    I've had no problems...

  • Same here, the only computer not in a domain is the whs. All computers and the server are AD integrated and backuped by the whs w/o any problems.
