Configuring CRM 4.0 for Offline Outlook Client RRS feed

  • Hello,

    I've now upgraded a CRM 3.0 server to 4.0, MANUALLY removed CRM 3.0 for Outlook laptop client on a machine on which I now successfully have installed CRM 4.0 for Outlook Client with offline access.


    It now stops when trying to configure CRM for Outlook. This error message pops up when the configuration process has started:

    Action Microsoft.Crm.Config.Client.InstallAbpAction failed.
    Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))


    Does anyone now what I can do?

    The installation user is a CRM user and administrator on the machine.


    The solution provided by MS (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948312) doesn't apply to me as the CRM Address Book and data file in Outlook is already deleted.
