  • Hi,

error = 1638 normally comes when it finds the product or any version of it already installed. Did you double checked your programs section of control panel if its already there?

You can also try downloading the CRM Server setup files and after extracting them you will find the Srsconnector in one of the directory, you can use that for your installation. CRM2011-Bids-ENU-i386.exe is a different thing, your main problem is the SrsConnector.

  • You are trying to install BITS and not SSRS.

You need to install SrsDataConnector.msi from the server installation folder.
    [en_microsoft dynamics crm server 2011_x86_x64_dvd_641442.iso]\Server\amd64\SrsDataConnector\

If the report server and the CRM server installed on the same machine, you do not need SSRS Connector to be installed.
If so, please check http://localhost/reportserver/ and see if you can produce shared report.

  • You still did not answer if the CRM and the RS are on the same machine.

if not, download CRM 2011 trial version and extract the needed files.
