Can't sync with new Android phone RRS feed

  • Question

  • With my old Android phone, I was able to use SyncToy to sync files between my computer and phone using a USB connection.  With my new phone (using version 7.0 of the Android OS), the phone and the files I want to sync show up in SyncToy when I browse for them, but the OK button is greyed out when I try to choose them.  I've tried files both in internal storage and in an external SD card.  Using Windows Explorer I'm able to access the files, but not with SyncToy.  Any help?  Thanks.

  • Found the answer to my problem.  Newer versions of the Android OS connect the phone as an MTP device rather than a Mass Storage device.  Solution is WebDAV server software.  See https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/22979/drive-letter-for-mtp-connection-under-windows#56944
