Recover data before vail quits! RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've been taking steps to get rid of my Vail install and everything was looking good.  Then I discovered, unfortunately, that some (only about 3GB) of my backup data was corrupted.  I no longer have the vail install, but I haven't done anything with the data disks yet.  Does the discussion about the hidden folder DE apply to the Vail version, or was that just V1?  I hooked up the drives to my Win7 machine but there are no hidden folders.  The drives are actually labeled DE and there are a number of files, but not my data.   Any solutions?

  • The drives can only be read by the vail version that created them. Unfortunatly you will have to reinstall vail to read them.
