Windows XP Log On RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi. I have a laptop that I have just received from my uncle not too long ago. I set it up where I didn't always have the log in page when I 1st start up the comp. I shut it down and when I turned it back on, the Windows XP Home Edition Log On box came on. I tried everything that I would have put, but I don't remember ever setting any password up or anything for that. I talked to my uncle and he can't recall what he had either. Is there anyway to bypass this? There is  no "forgot password" option or anything. I tried getting help from Microsoft but they want $60 each just for email, phone & live chat...

I have tried to do put Administrator as my user name and leaving the password blank. I got the message "Unable to log you on because of an account restriction." I thought I had changed everything over to my name. I don't know what to do :(
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! :)

    Thank you.

Here's a pic of the Log On Box I'm talking about:
