Well, did the server see the disk during installation?
Is the disk seen in disk management console? If so, you should assigne a drive letter to the volume here, get an external drive and recover your data first to that drive (unless you have an backup), as described in the FAQ
How to recover data after server failure. If the disk is not seen, mount it in a client PC and proceed with recovery.
The reason could be running the SATA controller in SATA mode. Windows Home Server has no native SATA drivers. Therefore the installation process may require to add them manually, one time from floppy. (Usually we recommend to put the SATA controller
into IDE mode in Bios before installing.
Or the disk is broken, which may have caused the need for your server reinstall initially. In this case non backed up and non duplicated data could be lost.
