Not able to see report in "Available Reports" RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi
    I have created some reports through programming.
    All are creating well but i can see those reports only under "All reports, including Sub Reports".
    I want to see it under "Available Reports".

    In my code, I am using also,,

                reportcategory rc = new reportcategory();
                rc.reportid = lookUp;
                Picklist pcklist = new Picklist();
                pcklist.Value = 4;
                rc.categorycode = pcklist;

    Also using,,,

                    reportvisibility rv = new reportvisibility();
                    rv.reportid = lookUp;
                    Picklist pL2 = new Picklist();
                    pL2.Value = ReportVisibilityCode.Grid;
                    rv.visibilitycode = pL2;
                    m_CrmService.Create(rv);
                    rv = new reportvisibility();
                    rv.reportid = lookUp;
                    Picklist pL1 = new Picklist();
                    pL1.Value = ReportVisibilityCode.Form;
                    rv.visibilitycode = pL1;
                    m_CrmService.Create(rv);
                    rv = new reportvisibility();
                    rv.reportid = lookUp;
                    Picklist pL3 = new Picklist();
                    pL3.Value = ReportVisibilityCode.ReportsGrid;
                    rv.visibilitycode = pL3;
                    m_CrmService.Create(rv);

    But still I am not able to see it under "Available Reports".

    How can i see this under "Available Reports".
    I am in hurry. So kindly do post here if you even knows a little thing relevant to this.
    It will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

  • If you can't view it, I would recommend deleting it from the reports list, and re-adding it.  There's no reason you shouldn't be seeing it with all the things you indicate you've done.

  • Be sure to change the "Viewable By" factor on the Report under the Administration tab of the Edit Report form.  Under the General Tab, be sure to specify the "Display In" list and probably the "Categories" list too.  This determines where your report is displayed.

  • Hi David
    Thanks for the reply

    I have set "Viewable by" factor to "Organization"......
    Whereas in General tab i specify "Display in List" and in Categories i selected "Services Reports".......
    But still i am not able o see it under "Available Reports"
    In fact there should be "Available Reports" in categories
    But there are only Four report Categories there
    1.Market reports
    2.Sales Reports
    3.Administrative Reports
    4.Service Reports
    So my Question is still without answer
    Any idea how to get rid of this????

    Thanks

  • Hi Sohaib

    Report are visible under "All reports, including Sub Reports", but not visible under "Available Reports". this problem mainly occurs when the "Display in" property is not set to "Reports area". If this is not set then your reports will not be available anywhere other than "All reports, including Sub Reports" (not even in the categories you have assigned).

    Report --> Edit report --> Gendral Tab --> Display in  --> Report area.

    Hope this solves your problem.
