CRM 4.0 / 2011 Case Management & Accelerator RRS feed

  • Hello,

    First post here so thanks in advance for you help...

    We are going to purchase the MSAP and add cloud essentials once we can ascertain the correct information. What we want to do in either crm 4.0 or 2011 is to use the case management as our IT Helpdesk. We would also like to integrate this into our website so our customer can submit their own support requests which feed directly into dynamics. I believe we need an accelerator to achieve this but we are unable to find a definitive answer through Microsoft. If indeed we need an accelerator to achieve this, which is it, is it included in the MAPS or cloud essentials or is it an addition? If it is in addition what is the cost?

    Here are the two 'free' options but bear in mind you will need to spend some time/money (depending on your company's technical ability) on tweaking these to embed the controls or coexist with your existing website.

  • Thanks Rob. That was very helpful. I think 2011 is the way forward for us.

    This is our line of thinking... If we enrol for the could essentials this will allow us to use 250 seats for crm internal use. Would this enternal use extend to the customer portal for our cutomers to manage cases? Also would would each user be classed as a seat or could is it based on per customer/company?

    We've deployed several installs of crm 3.0 so i think we should hopfully have enough technical ability to get to a certain point and the website intergration should be ok too. Do you know of any good articles/papers for deploying crm 2011 and the customer portal?
