    hi,

     

    i have customer who is unable to logon bowhaus.biz/webcast.html webpage

    when we turn off onecare using net stop winss,still she is unable to log on to the webpage it just say waiting for 60.231.90.166

    but when i turn off firewall driver then it is able to log on to the webpage

     tried all these steps

    *Optimize Internet.

    *Delete temp files.

    *Restore defaults on Firewall.

    *Re-install mpssetup.

    *Reinstall Onecare.

    *Add the website to trusted sites zone.

    *Reset winsock.

    *Force the DNS.

    *Try using a proxy server to access – and we ARE able to access the website.

    *Followed KB 283165 and set the MTU size to 1400. (*Clean boot.

    *New user Account.

    still we have the same problem

     

    contacted onecare tech support they cannot do anything they just say the case is in research

    it is been 1 month

    any suggestion

  • I would suggest going back to support to ask for an update on your case. OneCare does not block sites or IP addresses, so there's something else causing the problem. Since it works when you go through a proxy server, it seems like a DNS issue to me. What other security software might be installed on the PC?

    hi,

     

    sorry for the delay, i was out of town for a week

    customer doesn't have any security software

    customer has only onecare installed on the computer

    spoke with support again they told still the case is under research

    any other suggestion you have stephen
