Help! My computer says that I have an invalid product key. RRS feed

    I have been using my computer for about 4 years and last night when I started the computer it said that I have an invalid product key. I am not sure where to start because I am unable to get a live person to help me and I am not very savy with computers. I am in the process of moving and unable to find any of my disks, and I am not sure if I really need to buy a new system. Is there anyway to fix the program without my original disk and is there any reason why my product key would suddenly become invalid?

    If you do not have access to the Start Button:

    1)    Login to Vista and click the option that brings up Internet Explorer.

    2)    Type: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 into the browser address bar.

    3)    A window will come up asking if you want to “Run” or “Save”, Select “Run”

    4)    When the program runs, click the “Continue” button, then click the “Copy” button.

    5)    Return to this thread http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinevista/thread/c4e8bdeb-07c0-4ec8-8a31-589251173d85 .

    6)    In a reply post, paste the Diagnostic Report.

    Here is my diagnostic report...it says that my license is invalid....but Windows Vista came with computer.  Why would it all of a sudden be invalid?

    Also there is a sticker with a product key on the bottom of the laptop, and it does not match and of the product key information below...

    Please advise

    Here is my diagnostic report...it says that my license is invalid....but Windows Vista came with computer.  Why would it all of a sudden be invalid?

    Also there is a sticker with a product key on the bottom of the laptop, and it does not match and of the product key information below...
