iPhone access control RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am running a Windows Home Server 2011 and have installed the DHCP Server role to grant access of my mobile client(s) via my wireless device /AVM FritzBox 7270). So far everything is working unless that every client that knows the WLAN password is getting direct access.

Wonder if someone knows a smart solution for having an access control with a luxus of a time wise control as well. Perfect solution would be to realize such request with onbord tools.

    Many thanks,

  • You should let your router serve as the DHCP server; it certainly has basic DHCP functionality built in, and may offer time-based access control as well, something which you will not find in Windows Home Server.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
