    Hi,

Does anybody know if there is Capacity planning tool available for OCS?

The one for LCS doesn't seem to work with OCS.

    Thanks,

I'm also have problems with getting this working on OCS 2007, I get errors creating users below.

"The Schema version is not supported, Use this tool with LCS 2005 SP1 (Need 1006, Found 1007)".

If you find a Fix can you please Post

    Thanks,

    Andrew

  • I was told during a meeting with some Microsoft people that there are no planning tools with OCS 2007, just the planning guides. The best practices analyzer, resource kit, and other tools can be downloaded here:

  • Hello,

There are no promises being made here, but look at it this way ....

If Microsoft released a planning tool for LCS 2005 then I would honestly expect to see one released for OCS 2007 people have asked and they do listen

I'd say just watch this space for announcements ....

  • You can download a planning tool for OCS 2007 which will handle some cacapcity planning. You can get it here:

  • I downloaded the tool and tried to use it.  It is not very stable at all.  Yes I have the .Net 3.5 installed & WinXP SP2 just as the req state, but it still crashes every time I launch it.

  • Strange that it would crash just as you tried to launch it. without being able to run it all, it would seem like it would be something with .net.

make sure you have the latest .NET framework and no pre-release version.

if you had recently installed the .net framework, try rebooting before you launch the tool.

  • Hi,
Great tool but in my laptop it shows only part of the information,
the main frame uses only half of the destop size, but the menus and
the information pane only show part of the information. is there some
work around for this problem? I use winXp, .net 3.5 and screen reslution
is 1400x1050, putting it to 1680x10505 also shows the same problem.
    regards,
    Bob
