Product Key Code RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a HP I purchased a couple of months ago, I am trying to enter my product key code and it is telling me that it is incorrect key. to validate that I have the correct key code and re-enter. I have the correct code. What do I do? I should not have to buy a new key code, being that I have already purchased.

There's a few problems here - not with your PC.
    1) You're asking a question about Office in a Windows forum
    2) Your version of Windows is Win 7 - and this is a Vista forum.
    3) You actually have a Trial version of Office installed - you need to use a purchased legal Key or Office pack to activate it. The Key on the base of your computer is for Windows, not Office.
    4) (and least important) - you don't appear to have installed the WAT update yet, for some reason. It's the lack of this update which is causing the MisMatch files in the report. This may simply be because you haven't finished all the installs and updates yet, or because you refused the EULA when offered.
