NuGet EFCodeFirst "The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm following a tutorial for MVC off the ASP.net website and it wanted me to add the EFCodeFirst package but when I click install, the server returns an internal server error. It says the package is Microsoft. I don't know what to do about this. Now I obviously can't do the tutorial. I tried AjaxControlToolkit and it installed just fine. There are multipe EFCodeFirst packages and they all return internal server error. Obviously something is wrong with their server but how do I contact them to let them know and/or find out when it will be fixed so I can finish this tutorial?

  • Hi Billy Bob

This is the Visual Studio extensibility forum. You're more likely to get help with NuGet on the NuGet discussion forum at http://nuget.codeplex.com/discussions.

    Hope this helps

  • you can download the tutorial project from the microsoft website and add a reference from the vs tool, choose “project” from the pop-up box, choose the  EntityFramwork.dll  in the project solution you downloaded before 。it would be ok!

  • I am sorry ,there is something wrong on the above replay yesterday.Actually ,you should download the project from the open source website :http://mvcmusicstore.codeplex.com. There will be a folder called MvcMusicStore-Assets in the project, which contains all the files you will use in your own project. !!!!!!!!!!THERE IS a file called EntityFramework.dll in the packages Folder. This is the reference file you have to add to your solution.STEP1:right click on the “Reference->Add Reference->browse,choose the EntityFramework.dll from your local folder you downloaded before!it is ok!perfect!
