Genuine Advantage Validation cost me my office software RRS feed

  • Question

  • A year or two ago I downloaded Microsoft's Genuine Advantage Validation software. I don't believe that at the time I was adequately warned that I would have to produce the original CD Rom of Office XP Professional with Front Page. Worse yet, once I was prompted for the CD, which I've lost, it was too late to undo changes made by the Validation software. So, all my Office programs have been disabled. I think it's a crime that Microsoft has effectively stolen my software for which I paid almost $500. Is there any way to undo the changes made by installing the Genuine Advantage Validation software?
