Windows 7 Ultimate validation issues RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am having an issue with my copy of windows. I was getting ready to upgrade to Windows 10 and I ran the tool to make sure your pc and programs would work and also validated my copy of windows as genuine and it came back as being genuine and I was finishing up all the updates for windows 7 ands desided to run the tool again because I thought it had displayed the product key and I wanted to write it down so I could have it since it has warn off the bottom of the laptop. I ran the software and found out that it wasn't fully being displayed but this time the validate didn't have genuine it just displayed a 0 which I don't know what that means but I am nervous that im going to have issues when I upgrade to win 10. Please let me know what that means and why it is no longer saying genuine and if im going to have issues upgrading to win10 now.

    Thank you,

  • 1. Download the Microsoft Genuine Advantage diagnostic tool. Click Run, and then click Continue.

The tool will scan your computer, and then provide a summary of your computer's settings and system details that will help the MGA support team understand the problem.

To copy your results to the Clipboard, click Copy.

    2. Return to this post and Paste the results.  A MGA volunteer expert will analyze it and offer troubleshooting suggestions.  Thank you!
