Wordpress theme not showing up RRS feed

    Hi,

    I just downloaded WLW after setting up my blog, including a theme. I "edit using theme" and also refreshed the theme in WLW, but I get a page with no theme or RSS, both in the edit and preview areas.

    I am using Vista 32bit. This happened on IE7. Tried updating to 8 with no change.

    Yes. No problem on the wordpress end. Also no problem publishing content through WLW, but the theme just won't show there.

    This can happen for many reasons.  If you email me your logfile and a link to your blog, I might be able to help you figure out the cause.  But often times the log file doesn't have enough detail. 

    Also, I have heard that if you set your blog to show just 1 blog post on the front page at a time while you configure your blog from Windows Live Writer it will have better chance to get the theme.

    im having this same exact problem now. Was working fine before, but i reformatted and reinstalled everything, and now im having the same problem as this guy. Have no idea where to get my log files at or anything, but this is really annoying.

    Okay nevermind i have it figured out.


    I had the static page enabled on wordpress, and writer must not know how to use the static main page. I disabled the static page, and writer was able to publish its temp detection post, and then it worked. WOOT :D
