You can easily purchase an online copy of Windows direct from Microsoft ("WGA Kit") by pressing "Buy Now" on the validation pages.

Office is currently only available from retail sellers, but we're working on an online transaction.

  • The results of your MGA log indicate the presence of an illegal Volume License Product Key for both Windows XP Professional and Microsoft Office.  To correct this situation, contact Dell Support and request a Dell Windows XP Reinstallation CD and then perform a "clean install".  As for the illegal Microsoft Office Product Key, you'll need to go out and purchase a genuine version from a local software retailer.

  • The microsoft office software came with the laptop when i purchased it off a shop. So it wasn't my fault dat its an illegal copy. Can't i just purchase a windows xp software and reboot my laptop? Wouldn't this be the same as a fresh brand new laptop?

  • TyJac,

Yes, but they don't cost much, around $20 delivered as I recall.
