Dev and Sandobx on same SQL Server RRS feed

  • Hello,

We are trying something to save a few dollars, as usual.  We currently have one SQL Dev server for all development and testing purposes.  We already have CRM 2013 install on the default database and reporting instances.  We created two more database and reporting instances for our developers to support their sandbox environments.  CRM 2013 appears to have installed correctly the the databsse import process went well. When we install CRM 2013 into the two developer instances everything appears to go well and both their individual database and reporting server instances are detected just fine and the install completes just fine.

When they try to import their databases they get the "To enable reports, you must first install Microsoft Dynamics CRM Reporting Extensions for SQL Server Reporting Services" error and we cannot go any futher.  The Microsoft Dynamics CRM Reporting Extensions are inatalled and as reported earlier the actual dev installation and database import went perfect.

There appears to be a problem with multiple CRM Reporting instances be supported on one SQL server even though we specified seperate database and reporting instances.  While I know this is an issues with CRM 2011 I have not seen anything reported for CRM 2013.

Is this the same issue as with CRM 2011?  If so does that mean we have to have seperate SQl Servers for our dev and two developer sandbox environments?
