Forum support hindered through oversized Hotmail adverts RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are forced to use Hotmail addresses for posting to the MS forums which means that all Alerts I get come to my HotMail address.

No problems with that until recently.

Now instead of the adverts taking up a defined right-side column which means that using the arrows to move through the alerts is possible, there are oversized adverts that go over the right-side column borders and thus cover up the upward and downward arrows.

Given that MS owns Hotmail and MS forces us to use Hotmail for forum support, please contact them to stop doing this - or allow us to use GMail addresses when posting.

I don't think you are forced to use Hotmail - the Windows Live ID I post with is associated with my own domain name and it works fine.

Not true. (Almost) any valid e-mail address can be registered as a Live ID and used to set up a profile here. You seem to have used a Hotmail address for your profile.

Not true. On your Settings page, you can change the e-mail address that alerts are sent to.
