We are faced with a CRM v4.0.7333.3 move from one domain to another. The two domains are of two different AD domains. The existing setup has the CRM server with a SQL database sitting on a different server. The source domain and the domain to move to are two different Windows 2003 Active Directory domains of two different DNS namespaces of great geological distance not interconnected via any type of WAN link or site-to-site VPN. The plan is to install CRM server on a new server and install SQL on a separate new server, backup source database then restore. However, I'm not a CRM expert and aren't sure what's involved regarding CRM permissions tied into AD. I found this article,
