  • Hi all,

     

    I need to develop workflows in crm 4 to send e-mail to a crm user or account using e-mail router

    could anyboddy please provide me with the correct settings to allow crm to send mails without opening the outlook client

  • Hi Mostafa,

    Create a new user if you don't have dedicated one. Setup his options on the User form to Outgoing Email: Email Router

    Install and configure Email Router if you don't have one. Here is an instruction how to do it: http://blog.mikelu.org/2008/01/23/the-crm-40-e-mail-router-with-exchange/

    In the workflow you may have two options to send an email:

    1. Owner of the workflow need to be user with configured email router and you can use option Send an Email
    2. If workflow owner will be differenct than dedicated user -You can use an option to Create an email -> Assign to User with emal router -> Change Status to Pending
