MS CRM 4 and MS GP 10 integration issues RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I wonder if anyone has really explored the adapter which was released by MS for integration purpose between crm 4 and GP 10.

I am facing an issue after mapping the order to sales order entities. After I click the submit button in crm, I am getting warning messages in my log files in adapter and apparently data is also not getting pushed from crm to GP.

The message says - Item key/warehouse key is missing. I'm not able to resolve this issue.

I tried searching in the net but unfortunately there is no support.

    Regards
    Sunny

  • Just an idea but the adapter is only supported for the USA flavour of GP. Given you're in the UAE (linkedin means you never have to worry about privacy, you simply have none) could this be part of the problem?

  • To me, that sounds like the error is coming from GP's side of things.  I'm only superficially aware of the GP <-> CRM integration process, myself.  But our company is looking to migrate to GP, and from the research I've done on tying the two together, it sounds to me like CRM isn't supplying information required by GP to establish the GP-component record for the order.  Specifically, it appears the Order (or perhaps even the Order Product) needs to reference a Warehouse or distinct Item (probably for fulfillment-related functionality) in GP.  I assume this must be done either in the Connector's mapping of the two platforms (as a default setting for GPs expectant attribute), or by a mapped attribute between the records.  Otherwise, if you could toggle the GP Order's component attributes for Item/Warehouse to be not required, that may fix the issue.
