Activating OneCare RRS feed

  • I am having problems activating Onecare.  I bought the program in America and am now in England.  My subscription is running out in 12 days so I want to activate it for the rest of the year.  Onecare gives a red warning that I have to activate.  I ckick subscribe and get sign in.  I sign in.  Now I get a message to associate this PC with a subscription.  I click Continue on line.  I get to Activate a token and click that.  I enter the 25 digit code and click continue.  Then a message comes up The Product Key entered is already in use Message 8057.  I click continue and I get back to onecare help, and that is no help at all.
    Please sort this out

  • If you are getting that error message, it would seem that the key code has already been used. If not by you, unfortunately, by someone else or you ended up with a duplicate retail key.

    Is this the first time you are using this key? Had you previously installed and activated a subscription with that key on another PC? If so, you need to activate this PC with the same LiveID used originally, not the key. Since you are following the activation process, this means the copy on your PC is in trial mode and that the trial period is about to expire, not your subscription.

    You can contact support to find out the LiveID for your subscription (associated with that key) or to get help regarding the fact that you may have a duplicate key.
