Unable to validate Windows XP Pro RRS feed

  • Question

  • In March 2007 I installed a WGA version of Windows XP Professional which worked fine until yesterday afternoon when it became erratic until I got a message that I should re-install it.

I re-installed it and everything went fine until I got the message that Windows needed to be re-started.  I clicked yes to re-start automatically and everything went fine.

I received the Welcome sign of Windows XP and a small banner came up with the following message: This copy of Windows must be activated with Microsoft before you can log on.  Do you want to activate Windows now?  I clicked on YES and this operation closed the banner but it re-appeared and kept doing the same on and on and I just  can't get Windows validated.  I don't have access to anything else but the Welcome page.

Could someone help me on this matter?

My computer is a Dell Inspiron 2500 modified with an 80GB HD and 312GB RAM

I am a handicapped individual and use the laptop for all my help (pay bils, baniking, etc.) because it is very hard for me to use the Desktop (as I am doing right now).

Thank you very much for any help anyone cqan provide me.
