I can only se one other thread in these forums involving your error (slui.exe 0x2a 0xC002001B) - which wasn't resolved at the time.
    Try this....
Go to the Validation site ( www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate ) and see what happens - if it fails, go to the Diagnostics (www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag ) and see if that can shed some light on the problem. Follow any advisories there, and once you get 'all-green', attempt validation again.

Post back with your results, and a new MGADiag report.

  • Okay, before I was able to do what you advised

"Go to the Validation site ( www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate ) and see what happens - if it fails, go to the Diagnostics (www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag ) and see if that can shed some light on the problem. Follow any advisories there, and once you get 'all-green', attempt validation again."

I had to turn off my computer and when I turned it back on it had another change of background, from black with the white text in the corner saying the copy wasn't genuine to a plain white background without the "Windows 7 Build 7600 This copy of Windows is not genuine". What happened because when I checked the basic information about my computer it had the "ask for genuine Microsoft® software" logo again and in (www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate) it said my software was indeed genuine. So is this good or do I have to o another Diagnostics with diag because I'm kinda worried with the plain white background.

    Tuesday, March 29, 2011 9:27 AM
  • Okay, I just did the diagnostics and I Passed everything there so does that mean software's good? White background still by the way.

I noticed something in the view information about my computer, the Product ID is different from the one written on the "Proof of License Certificate of Authenticity" so I have to "Change product key" with the one written on the side of my computer am I right?

Please run another MGADiag report and post the results
You shouldn't need to change anything (yet)

That looks good to me -
As far as your background is concerned, it may simply need resetting - right-click on an empty area of the desktop and select Personalize - then change the settings to what you want.

    Good Luck!
