Unable to download Office/Word security updates KB2598253 & KB2687324 after Fix It Center says fixed

  For some time I have not been able to install the below Office and Word security fixes on my XP pro computer. I run the Fix It Center solution which tells me it has been fixed, but install attempts still fail.

  Security Update for Microsoft Office 2003 (KB2598253)
  Security Update for Microsoft Office 2003 (KB2687324)
  Security Update for Word Viewer (KB2687485)
