  • Question

  • Hello I dont know if this is is the right forum to be posting this too, but I've tried just about all MS to find an answer to my problem!

Im running WIN 10 preview  build 10074 and cant upgrade and now when I try to update anything all I get is this error! ( There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help - (0x80248014) )

I've tried installing newer preview builds but they stop during install

I dont want to loose my Insider status by doing a clean install but If I have to I will

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated

  • Are you running Enterprise?

Have you tried installing from ISO?

Please run a system file check (SFC) & DISM (if necessary) if you are on win 8 or higher

All instructions are in our Wiki article below...
Should you have any questions please ask us.

The fastest way to get the upgrade is to download the ISO.  An ISO is like a dvd so to use it you will need to right click>mount.  Start the upgrade from within windows.

WARNING:  DO NOT USE THESE TO DO A CLEAN INSTALL (until after you have already updated).  If you do you will not be able to activate it unless you have previously upgraded to win 10 and activated it.  You then will be forced to re-install your previous OS before upgrading to win 10

The Official Final Windows 10 download is now available

Use the download tool to create ISO media to update your windows.
