serviceappointment in nav pane RRS feed

  • Question

  • I been trying to insert serviceappointments as a nav pane item in the sitemap.. but for some reason it allways shows activities and not serviceappointments only...

Has anyone encountered this problem before? No matter what I do.. it just keeps displaying activities. I tried manually editing the xml.. and using sitemap editor etc for this. but no luck..

This happens on a CRM Online organisation.

  • Yep, you can link directly to service activities... something like this should work:

Not sure if this works in Outlook or not, you'll have to try that one.

XML would look something like this:

    <SubArea Id="nav_serviceappointment" Title="Service Activities" Url="/_root/homepage.aspx?etn=serviceappointment&type=serviceappointment&pagemode=iframe&sitemappath=Workplace%7cMyWork%7cnav_activities&viewid=%7b36C60CBD-AFB1-4217-9211-8189DBF5C07C%7d"> </SubArea>

    Couple of things to note:

    1. 'etn' and 'type' both need to be the serviceappointment entity name.
    2. 'sitemappath' seems to only display the Getting Started Pane, so that can probably be removed.
    3. 'viewid' is only required if you want to use a different view than the default - otherwise if you leave this off, the default serviceappointment view will be displayed.
    4. Everything else is required for it to work.

    Hope that helps
