Need help with IFD Dynamics CRM 4.0 (IFD and Win Int. Auth both)

Question
-
Hello everybody!
I have a task to connect people from remote branches to my CRM system. I use Dynamics 4.0 with SQL 2005 st.ed. on the same Server, running on OS Win 2003 Srv.
For the moment I have the only Windows Authentication on my site. But people from the branches are in the VPN but not in domain.
1. How to add those people into the system?
2. How to configure both authentication methods correctly, for the local users and for the remote users in VPN?
I read carefully the scenarious for Configuring IFD, But I am not sure that it will work on my case.
I am going to create the DNS record organization.crm which will be the alias for my MSCRM:5555; Then I am going to configure the IFD using the IFD Tool, adding the local networks, and IFD App Root Domain = IFD SDK Root Domain = crm
Am i right?
And one more question, If i enabled the IFD, and configure the local networks to use Windows Integrated Auth, may be the remote users would be able to login to the CRM IFD by simply using an IP Address of the server (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:5555). I don't need new record in DNS, am i right?
Sorry for the confusion
With best regards, Sergey

First of all, the remote users will have to have domain accounts (either in the CRM AD domain, or a domain that it trusts) to be able to access CRM.
If the users connect via a VPN, then you should not need to configure IFD, and the users should be able (if the VPN is set correctly) to connect to the same url for CRM that local users use.
