WLW replaces non-breaking spaces with normal spaces RRS feed

  • Question

  • If I enter a non-breaking space ( ) in the HTML editor, and then switch back to the WYSIWYG editor, my nbsp is replaced by a normal space. This is very annoying, because it means that I have to add the nbsps only after I'm done writing the post, and do it again if I switch to the WYSIWYG editor...

Non-breaking spaces are important. For instance, the typography rules in French say that a colon must be preceded by a space; if this space isn't non-breaking, nothing prevents it from being wrapped to the next line, which looks ugly:

Is there a way to fix this? Will it be fixed in the next version?
