  • Thanks DynaDev, I check in CodePlex there is no documentation how to use the sitemap, can you briefly explain how it works ? Let say I want to hide the Sales pane.

  • Hi DynaDev,

I tried the editor, then I test by disable Area (MA), after that I save and click Update SiteMap

When I login as a user CS, I can still see Area/Navigation Pane Marketing. It should be gone, right ? Something wrong or missing with my step ?

  • Hi Krisna,

If you still see the Marketing area then check if Marketing area is commented in the xml. To check this follow below steps,

    1. Open sitemap editor and load the sitemap
    2. Save the sitemap on your disk using "Save Sitemap" button.
    3. Right click on "Sitemap.xml" and open with xml editor
    4. Check if Marketing area is commented.

Also, To show/hide area based on role you can use "Privilege " property. check below blog,

    http://www.mohamedibrahim.net/blog/2012/11/13/hide-areas-sub-areas-in-the-sitemap-using-security-roles-in-dynamics-crm-privilege-tag/

You can use sitemap editor to implement this.
