the OS, memory and processor(s) requirements... RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
For the demo of Soft-Wifi and Soft-LTE implementations, it said they are running on a Dell XPS 730/Shuttle XPS PCs. I wonder what the requirements of OS (windows version), memory, processor(s), etc. are for those setups.
    Thanks,
    James

  • I am also curious: my department is receiving a shipment of HP Z200 computers with Intel Xeon W3450 or 3540 processors - will these have any issues with the Sora RCB, as it requires PCIe-x8 and these particular computers offer very differing standards, i.e. PCIe-x16 but only for the included graphics card?

  • Either PICe-x8 or PCIe-x16 is fine, but you need a free slot. Looks like Z200 has only one -x16 slot and a few -x1 slots.  So you cannot use the -x16 slot for graphics card. Instead, see if you can get a PCIe-x1 video card to work on a -x1 slot, so as to free up the -x16 slot.
