My genuine copy of Office fails validation

Question
-
I am trying to validate my copy of Office 2007 so that I can download a Word add-in but it keeps failing validation. It is a valid copy that I purchased from a reputable source and I have a product key for it. I have activated Office and haven't had any problems using it. Here is the failure message from the validation tool:
Microsoft Office Standard 2007
The product(s) listed above completed validation. However, as a result of the failed or incomplete validation(s) listed below, this computer is not eligible for the benefits of genuine Office. Remove the application(s) that failed or could not complete validation and run the validation tool again.
Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007:
Validation FailedNo valid Office key was detected. This is a strong indication that the Office product installed is not genuine.
[0x80180104]I ran a MGA diagnostic and got these results for Office 2007:

Hello Meryl,
It appears there are more than one installs/versions currently on your system. Office Home and Student 2007 appears to be a Trial version and will requires removal. Sometimes there may be problems using the add/remove feature so I will provide you with detailed information for removal.
Your issue appears to be outside the scope of the Genuine Advantage forum. In an attempt to assist I would like to provide the following information, however if the issue persists I would recommend you contact Microsoft Office support at http://support.microsoft.com/gp/assistsupport and choosing your product to create a support incident.
Please look @ the following Knowledge Base (KB) article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218/en-us. Here you will find detailed instructions for removing beta and TRIAL release versions of Office Suite 2007 or program.
Important: This article contains information about how to modify the registry. Make sure that you back up the registry before you modify it. Make sure that you know how to restore the registry if a problem occurs. I was able to simply uninstall the Home and Student version and now everything is fine. My standard version of Office passed validation and I was able to download the add-in. Thank you for your help.
