multiple video feeds Question RRS feed

  • Question

  • My boss is wanting multiple video feeds.  As in he wants to have a video conferences with 3-6 people at once.  Has anyone done this?  Is this pretty bandwidth intense?  Have you been successfull?

What components do i need to do this.  I have the basics setup and running.  I do not have the edge server, mediation server, communicator web access or archiving and cdr server deployed.

    Thanks for any info.

  • Mind that OCS only supports the active speaker video, you can connect many video streams but it will show only the active speaker and your own video in the client

You only need the OCS Standard edition server which includes all roles you need (Audio Conferencing and Video Conferencing)

The EDGE Server is required if you want to host conferences with users that are on the internet

  • But if you want to see everyone at once you can however add a 3rd party software to your OCS implementation.

I think Tandberg does it in their integration.
