PMX Daemon RRS feed

  • Question

  • I noticed this item appearing in my list of startup items (msconfig), I have no idea what it is for! Is this some sort of malware!  PMX Daemon   (manufacturer) unknown  (command) ICO.EXE a registry key is listed HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.

I have been searching for weeks this item appears on a lot of computers mostly listed on sites by people with malware problems but not listed on any Antivirus companies databases.

Does anybody know what this item is!

  • Can you open regkey  HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. and see where it is pointing to and find the location and use your anti malware product to  do custom scan on it and see whether it is getting detected?
