Hi,
First of all, in order to know which exam you should go towards, a good start would be reading the description and area of coverage for the individual exam.
70-515 : http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?id=70-515
70-483 : http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?id=70-483
Please look under "Skills Measured".
From there, then you will roughly know which of those you are working with most for the past 6 months doing programming.
Secondly, if you have a certain goals to meet, like getting Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD). For example, to qualify for MCPD Web Application 4, one of the qualifying paper is 70-515. While, one of the qualifying paper to attain MCSD Windows Store Apps Using C# is 70-483.
For more information on MCPD and MCSD, please visit the related sites.
MCPD - http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/mcpd-certification.aspx [Look under Visual Studio 2010]
MCSD - http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/mcsd-windows-store-apps-certification.aspx
