I'm trying to write an application that uses eConnect 9.0 to retrieve and update an order in Microsoft Dynamics GP 9. My team and I are developing the application on a windows vista 64-bit machine using c#. We wrote sample code snippets that retrieve a customer using the eConnectOut class. We can successfully retrieve the customer by running on a windows xp 32-bit machine. When I run the app on the vista machine I get a SerializationException saying "Unable to find assembly 'Microsoft.GreatPlains.eConnect, Version=9.0.0.0". I also tried to run the eConnect installer on the vista machine and received an error stating " MDAC 2.7 sp1 cannot be installed on this machine. MDAC 2.7 sp1 requires one of the following configurations: Microsoft 98 with Y2K update 2, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP". The installer successfully ran on the xp machine. Our clients are windows xp 32-bit users and we develop with Vista machines (mostly 64-bit but sometimes 32-bit). Our company uses Dynamics GP 9 so we are using eConnnect 9 because they are compatible. Any suggestions?
