Weird account issue

Question
-
Hello,
I've created another live ID account and a profile for the forum, but when I sign-in I can't post anything, and the only things I get to see on the side panel are "Create Profile", "Forum Home" and "Browse Forum Users", I tried to recreate it, but it doesn't help, regardless I can see my name at the top so it seems like it signed me in.
It does work perfectly with this account, and as you can see I'm posting :)
What should I do ?
Eyal, Regards.

You most likely have a problem with cookies, it does get confused now and then. If explicitly signing out and signing back in doesn't work, try reseting all cookies from microsoft.com

Well I've reset both FF and IE and it seems to work perfectly fine with FF!
Just don't tell me I'll have to downgrade back to IE7 haha ... ;)- Marked as answer by Ed Price - MSFTMicrosoft employee Thursday, May 24, 2012 12:29 AM

Create a profile. I assume you already did, I see you posting with it.
Hans Passant.
The profile isn't the issue, I made it right after I registered.
When the problem occur most of the options that suppose to be usable by a registered member are gone regardless to the login state, which as far as I can tell I signed-in, at least I assume so due to my name and the sign out link being printed at the top.
It seems like the the UI shows I'm connected but I'm blocked from doing anything, and again it happens randomly, the weird thing is that I don't have any issues with my first account. -

I added the domain to privacy, let's hope it will work, anyways thanks mate! ;) -
I am experiencing the same problem. I have multiple accounts that I use. This account works fine, but my new account doesn't. I couldn't post to this thread because that account doesn't have the "Reply" option. It won't even let me reply to the question that I created with that account.
When I click the "Create Profile" link, it redirects to the same page. When I attempt to edit my profile via the link on the top right, it goes to my profile and lets me edit everything as expected. -
Again posting with my old account is no problem as you can see.
Now I'm doubting the problem is my cookies, I've added the domain *.microsoft to my trusted websites and the problem is still there.
Note, I also tried to sign-in through different computers and browsers and nothing seems to remedy the problem.

Adding the .microsoft.com in the trusted sites may not work. You'll need to physically delete the cookies. You can do this by:
1) In IE, go to "tool", "internet options", "delete" (in the general tab), select "Cookies" then delete. Note: This will delete all your cookie sessions.
OR
2) Manually delete the .microsoft.com or .ms.com cookies (anything that has microsoft or ms) in the cookie name. You can manually delete them in this location: (IE 8: C:\Users\<loginaccount>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files)
If this doesn't, try loging in to Forums using a different machine account and see if it's profile specific or not. Also try a different browser such as FF since both apps stored cookies differently.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Hello Don Tan,
I already tried to delete them both manually and automatically from the browser history, I deleted everything and anything that in one way or another can affect the account.
And as I said previously "I also tried to sign-in through different computers and browsers and nothing seems to remedy the problem."
Again it happens randomlly, but now it's working again, let's hope it will work forever now. :) -
