WHS, Draytek Vigor 2710Vn and the rest of the world. RRS feed

  • Question

  • HI!

I have a little problem with my WHS. In the past I used a Linksys WAG160N, and had no problems using Remote Access from my working location.
Now I use a Draytek Vigor 2710Vn, and I am not able reach my WHS site....
Whilst configuring the site is reachable from the internal LAN, but that is it.

So now I would like to know if someone has a solution for me. I'm not familiar with configuring routers, so if you have an answer keep this in mind.

Greetings from a dutch guy in Germany

  • If your router isn't handling UPnP correctly, you may need to set your router to do manual port forwarding.
How to do this depends on your specific router

See if its listed here: http://www.portforward.com/

  • I looked at Portforward.com, but there is the 2710 series not described, the 2700 series is. But that has got a different configuration page. Also WHS is not described there.....
By reading I found out that I have to open ports 80, 443 and 4125 for WHS to be reachable from the internet. Is this correct?
