Code Formatting RRS feed

  • You can't tab in the Code window when adding code. Therefore, all you can do is use spaces. However, when you post, even though the code looked good in Preview, it removes all spaces and makes it very hard to read.

  • This is a bug and I've posted about it in the Bug forum already.

  • We've fixed this bug.  A workaround for now (which isn't pretty) is to switch to the HTML view after you're done entering your post and hit save from there.

    Let me make sure that works:
    public int Foo()  
    {  
        int x=5;  
        int y=7;  
        int z=x+y;

    1 This is my test code block.
    2 There are 5 spaces between x and y: x y
    3 This line starts 5 spaces over.

    Looks good. (Using the HTML work-around.)
