I recently installed Windows Vista Premium Home Edition and Onecare security.  Onecare said I have a trojan called, "Trojan downloader.js/agent" they could not get rid of it.

    What should I do?

If you are using the released 1.6 version for subscribers, support for v1.6 is via the information here - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1183038&SiteID=2

as per additional option if you are using onecare 2.0 since its on beta phase - feel free to get a direct Microsoft Security Assitance to identify what kind and how does the malware / adware or spyware got in to your system.

  • I am just doing the trial version of OneCare. Do I need the full version to address this issue?  So far I'm not very impressed with it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • if i were you i would install windows xp sp2,,but its unlikely you would want to.

the best programme available is PEST PATROL,IT FAR EXCEEDS ANYTHING ON THE MARKET,AND ALSO WINDOWS WASHER,,BUT MAKE SURE YOU UN-INSTALL ALL OTHER ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE BEFORE RUNNING THEM,,GOOD LUCK

  • I believe only XP with service pack 2 and vista can successfuly deploy Windows Live Onecare in their system - well he has already WLOC in his/her system.
