VISTA HAVING A PROBLEM CONFIGURING UPDATES RRS feed

    I have a 2 month old laptop. When I turn it  on a message comes up " Configuring updates stage 3 please do not turn off your computer". This message stays for about 2 minutes and then the message appears "Shutting Down", then th ecycle starts all over again message 1 then comes up again! Please help cannot get my laptop to start up.

        Unfortunately, this forum is for the support of Vista Activation and Validation issues, so your question is outside our area of knowledge, but I do suggest going to Microsoft Update Solution Center at http://support.microsoft.com/ph/6527. And if the Solution Center doesn't help resolve your issue, then you can click the "Contact a Support Professional by Email, Online, or Phone." link (upper right hand corner of the solution center page) and create a (no cost) Windows Update support request, for further assistance.
